Launch of the book “Care – Interdisciplinary Contexts and Practices: Health, Philosophy and Education”

On Tuesday, July 27th, at 7:30 PM, took place at Dom Bosco Salesian College (FSDB), in the city of Manaus, Amazonas, the launch of the book “Caring – Contexts and Interdisciplinary Practices: Health, Philosophy and Education”, having as organizers Professor Hudson Ribeiro, Professor Fátima Helena do Espírito Santo, and PACCS Postdoctorates Maria de Nazaré de Souza Ribeiro and Cleisiane Xavier Diniz.

The book brings together articles by undergraduate and graduate students from two research groups at the State University of Amazonas (UEA) and the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), in addition to the Philosophy course at Faculdade Salesiana Dom Bosco (FSDB-AM) , with the special participation of the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam). The research groups involved are the Health Sciences and Humanities Research Laboratory (LaPeCSH/UEA) and Interdisciplinary Group on Research, Teaching, Technology and Innovation in Health (Gipetis/UFF).

The work is a collection of articles on care and involves themes of health, philosophy and education, thematic areas superimposed on care such as emotions, vulnerabilities, health technologies, integrative and complementary practices, ontological essentiality of care, education, environment and ethical commitment. In each chapter, the reader will find intriguing themes and reflections on everyday issues related to contemporary care faced by professionals, students and the population, in a perspective that encourages critical and integrative awareness.
